How we approached it
A modern windshield is not just glass anymore. Cameras and sensors mounted to it mean replacement carries a recalibration bill on top of the glass, which pushes the total well past a thousand dollars on many vehicles.
Windshield protection film is cheap insurance against that. We paired it with an interior clear ceramic film, because Tesla's windshield area is enormous and it is the biggest single heat source in the car.
