How we approached it
District safety film work is the most consequential thing we do. Glass is the softest point on nearly every campus in Texas, and an unfilmed vision panel can be cleared in a couple of seconds with a common tool.
We walked each campus with the district's safety lead, tiered every opening by exposure, and phased the work so the highest-risk glazing was hardened first. Every campus was signed off with quantities, product data and photos for the district's files.
Results
- Entry doors, sidelites and transoms filmed and anchored
- Classroom vision panels along accessible corridors treated
- All work completed during breaks with per-campus documentation delivered
