Ground Floor Privacy Film
Daytime privacy film across a rear glass wall facing a close neighboring lot, blinds finally open.

- Subject
- Cypress home — ground-floor bedrooms
- Products installed
- One-way daytime privacy film
- Location
- Cypress, TX
- Completed
- April 2026
What the customer wanted
- Privacy from a neighboring house sitting close to the property line
- Keep natural daylight in the rooms
- No blinds to operate, clean or replace
How we approached it
Newer subdivisions put houses close together, and a ground-floor bedroom window can end up ten feet from a neighbor's walkway. Blinds solve it by removing the daylight, which defeats the purpose of the window.
We specified a film appropriate for round-the-clock privacy rather than a reflective one-way product, because reflective film reverses at night once the interior lights come on — a mistake we see homeowners make constantly.
Results
- Obscured sightlines from outside with daylight preserved
- No hardware, nothing to dust, nothing to break
- Meaningful UV blocking as a secondary benefit
